Dan Redin
Senior Vice President, Modem IP R&D
Dan Redin is Senior Vice President at ST-Ericsson as of October 1st, 2011.
Mr. Redin has more than 30 years of experience in the wireless communication and semiconductors business.
Prior to joining ST-Ericsson, Mr. Redin worked three years at Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB in Sweden as a Corporate Vice President and Head of Development. He successfully led a major change of the entire Sony Ericsson R&D organization with substantial improvement of critical aspects like lead-time, quality and operational costs.
Previously and over 25 years, Mr. Redin carried different managerial roles at Ericsson. He managed Ericsson R&D expansion in China since 2002 and made Ericsson China a major design center of Ericsson as well as a major innovation center for China’s telecommunication industry.
From 1996 – 2001, Mr. Redin led Ericsson’s product development unit to the successful industrialization of 3G technology.
Dan Redin was born in Sweden in 1952. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden.
