Chief Chip Architect - Principal Fellow and head of System Silicon Development 
Louis Tannyeres is Principal Fellow, Chief Chip Architect and head of System Silicon Development at ST-Ericsson since October 1, 2011. Prior to this Mr. Tannyeres was in charge of Architecture and Roadmap at ST-Ericsson as of July 2010.
Mr. Tannyeres has 30 years of experience in wireless communications and semiconductors.
Prior to joining ST-Ericsson, Mr. Tannyeres was TI Senior Fellow at Texas Instruments, responsible for Application, Modem Architecture and Roadmaps for Wireless products. As one of the founders of Texas Instruments’ Wireless Business Unit, he contributed to transform it to a global leader in less than eight years.
He founded TI OMAP product family. Furthermore, he architected and designed the world's first digital baseband SoC integrating a DSP core, a Microcontroller and an ASIC on a single die. Before Wireless, he was Chief System Architect and Designer of Computer Organization in Texas Instruments, working on Networking, Video, Modem, CPU and Personal computer.
Mr. Tannyeres started working in Texas Instruments in 1980 as technician on automotive chip design.
Louis Tannyeres was born in Algeria in 1958.
