ST-Ericsson's latest single-chip GSM/GPRS solution for ultra-low cost mobile handsets
The G4906 is a robust and cost efficient, multimedia capable GSM/GPRS mobile platform with Dual-SIM Dual-Standby support. Integration of two SIM interfaces removes the need for external components which brings a lower BOM cost and a smaller size.
It provides mobile Internet connectivity in affordable devices supporting email, web browsing and instant messaging services over GPRS.
The G4906 also offers best-in-class audio with an integrated 615mW Class-D amplifier, support for MP3, AAC and eAAC+ audio codecs, and outstanding echo cancellation and noise suppression performance.
With a proven and stable RF solution, Dual-SIM Dual-Standby support, Bluetooth, Full Speed USB and in-built multimedia capabilities at lowest industry BOM cost – The G4906 extends the possibilities beyond voice for low-cost phones.
