Abhijit Bhattacharya
Senior Vice President, Operations and Quality
Abhijit Bhattacharya has been Senior Vice President and head of Operations and Quality of ST-Ericsson since February 2009.
From August 2008 to February 2009, Mr. Bhattacharya was Chief Financial Officer of ST-NXP Wireless.
Since 2004, he was Financial Controller for Multi-market Semiconductors at NXP.
Mr. Bhattacharya joined Philips India in 1987 as a divisional administrator for the consumer electronics division. In the 1990s he served as Chief Financial Officer for the Medical Systems unit, Head of Corporate Control, Country Treasurer, and Head of Investor Relations at Philips India. During 1999 he moved to a pan Asia-Pacific role of the Controller for the Regional Finance Centre based in Singapore. Mr. Bhattacharya, assumed global responsibility as Financial Controller for Philips’ Domestic Appliance and Personal Care businesses in 2000, initiating a number of organizational changes to improve company-wide performance.
Abhijit Bhattacharya was born in Kolkata, India, in 1961. He is a qualified cost accountant from the Institute of Costs and Works Accountants in India and obtained a Master’s degree in Commerce majoring in Finance, Accounting and Economics from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai, India, in 1985.
