Gilles Delfassy
President and CEO
Gilles Delfassy is President and CEO of ST-Ericsson as of November 2, 2009.
Mr. Delfassy was Senior Vice President at Texas Instruments, leading the company’s wireless terminals unit, until he retired in 2007. During his 28-year career at the company, he created and built what would become, at that time, the largest wireless semiconductor business in the world.
After joining Texas Instruments in 1978, Mr. Delfassy held various positions in Europe and the US.
Following his retirement from Texas Instruments, Mr. Delfassy served as an advisor for companies in the high-tech industry sitting on several corporate boards.
Gilles Delfassy holds an Engineering Diploma (Master of Science in Electrical Engineering) from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Electronique et d’ Automatique de Toulouse and a degree in Business Administration from Institut d’Administration des Entreprises de Paris.
