Thierry Tingaud
Senior Vice President, 2G, EDGE, TD-SCDMA and Connectivity Solutions
Thierry Tingaud was appointed Senior Vice President and head of the 2G, EDGE, TD-SCDMA and Connectivity Solutions division at ST-Ericsson on July 23, 2009.
Prior to this position Mr. Tingaud was Senior Vice President and head of Strategy at ST-Ericsson since the company establishment in February 2009.
From 2006 to February 2009, Mr. Tingaud was Corporate Vice President, Emerging Markets Region and General Manager, responsible for STMicroelectronics’ sales and marketing operations in Africa and the Middle East, India, Latin America, Russia and the Eastern European countries.
Mr. Tingaud started his career in 1985 in the sales and marketing organization of Thomson Semiconductors. In 1996, he moved to North America as Corporate Strategic Key Account Director for ST’s Headquarters. In 1999, Mr. Tingaud was appointed Vice President for Sales and Marketing of Telecommunications in Europe where he was involved in major telecommunication acquisitions and was instrumental in establishing close cooperation with major partners.
Thierry Tingaud was born near Paris, France, in 1959. He graduated from INSA Lyon in 1982 with a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering and in 1985 he obtained an MBA from Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC).
