STw5098
General Description
The STw5098 is a dual, high-quality stereo codec with headphones and hands-free amplifiers. It is dedicated to mobile phones supporting several audio sources (modem, digital audio such as MP3 or gaming, Bluetooth, FM radio, etc.) and performing complex audio flows. The two available I²S/PCM digital interfaces - one per master -enable concurrent audio and voice flow between the network and user. With the STw5098, the audio capabilities of your mobile are no longer restricted. For example, it allows you to record yourself singing, while at the same time enabling your sister to talk to her friends.

- Wide master clock range from 4 to 32 MHz
- 8/16 kHz voice codec with embedded channel filters
- Selectable and mixable analog stereo signal inputs and outputs
- Stereo differential/single line out
- 2 x 40 mW over 16 ohms headset AB amplifiers, no DC coupling capacitor (phantom ground)
- 500 mW loudspeaker amplifier
- DSP functions for bass, treble and volume
- Interfaces: I²S/SPI/PCM for audio data and I²C/SPI for control
- Low power (23 mW in playback, 1 µW in standby)
- LFBGA 112 (6 x 6 x 1.4, 0.5 mm pitch)
- VFBGA 112 (5 x 5 x 1.0, 0.4 mm pitch)
