STW5211
General Description
The STw5211 is a 24-bit, high-quality DAC for portable applications, with an amazing 102 dB signal-to-noise (SNR) for the whole audio path. It embeds an innovative PTE™ (playback time extender) function allowing a significant power reduction on portable music equipment, leading to many hours of extra playback time without compromising audio quality. Additionally it has a system clock generator so the platform clock can be switched off when in playback mode. The STw5211 is easy to integrate as it can be directly supplied by the battery. Advanced IPs are included to reduce the numbers of external components and the footprint, including the headset driver with no coupling capacitors, as well as a low-power PLL generating the DAC clocks from the 32 kHz RTC clock with no need of additional quartz.
