The Aero4260 is a single-chip transceiver for dual-band TD-HSDPA mobile terminals. Covered frequency bands include 1880-1920 MHz and 2010-2025 MHz. Aero4260's high blocking performance relaxes RX SAW requirements, and its low TX spurious emissions typically allow operation without a TX SAW filter.
The transceiver is based on a direct conversion architecture -both in the RX and TX path- and comes with fully integrated RX and TX synthesizers, loop filters, receive ADCs and filters, transmit DACs, an auxiliary DAC, DC-DC converter and LDO linear regulators. The Aero4260 provides an industry-standard 10-bit parallel digital I/Q baseband interface.
High power-efficiency is achieved by using the on-chip DC-DC converter to convert the battery voltage down to 1.5V to supply the LDO line regulators. To minimize board space, the DC-DC converter has an optional linear mode to allow direct battery connection without the passives required for switching mode. An external converter can also be used to supply the LDO inputs.
