Applications

The CW1250 is an IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN single-chip solution and is fully optimized for mobile applications such as mobile phones, PDAs and portable media players.

Extremely low power consumption and intelligent host offloading of beacon and packet processing ensures industry-leading battery life. High levels of integration allow for very compact and cost-effective reference designs providing fast time to market for new WLAN-enabled products.

Building on its successful predecessors, such as the CW1200, the CW1250 integrates a power amplifier with higher Tx output power and reduced power consumption, a switch-mode power supply and an enhanced Bluetooth coexistence interface.

Being an ideal partner to ST-Ericsson’s CG2900 GPS/Bluetooth/FM, the CW1250 uses simultaneous receive and enhanced Bluetooth/WLAN coexistance to provide superior performance and flexibility to single-chip Bluetooth/WLAN solutions.

The CW1250 also offers standard PTA supporting a wide range of Bluetooth or WiMAX solutions. The integrated SMPS can support GPS, Bluetooth, FM and other connectivity devices reducing overall BOM costs.

A comprehensive suite of software is provided, including proven drivers for Android, Linux and Windows Phone, along with production test and engineering software utilities.
