USB Host Controllers

We offer two types of host controllers: for memory bus (embedded) and PCI bus systems.

ISP1760, our three-port Hi-Speed USB memory bus host controller, extends USB beyond the PC: bringing its reliability, convenience, and interoperability to the Digital Home. Its integrated transaction translator eliminates the need for additional software stacks, and thus lowers overall cost.

ISP156x, our series of Hi-Speed USB PCI host controllers, is for systems that use a 32-bit, 33-MHz PCI bus. It offers low-power operation, variable data rates, and two or four downstream ports. It is ideally suited for digital consumer applications, web appliances, portable PCs, and network cards with a CardBus connection.

If you do not require a Hi-Speed USB solution, then ISP1160 is for you.
